Welcome to the Troop 232, Atlanta, GA website.

Troop 232 is Atlanta's High Adventure Boy Scout Troop.  Sponsored by Northwest Presbyterian Church since 1964, Troop 232 has served the Atlanta Community with an award-winning Scouting program that emphasizes outdoor adventure, teamwork, and leadership.  With over 80 Boy Scouts (11 to < 18 years of age) and more than a dozen trained each of volunteer Scoutmasters and Committee Members, Troop 232 offers a safe, active, and fun-filled year-round program.  We are also proud of all our Scouts, especially our 260+ Troop 232 Eagle Scouts who are continuing to benefit their respective communities as leaders and men of honor.

For younger boys and girls interested in Scouting, we strongly recommend visiting Cub Scout Pack 232, also sponsored by Northwest Presbyterian Church.  For more info or to join, please contact the Pack’s Cubmaster, Keith Hasson, at cubmaster@pack232atl.com, or visit pack232atl.com.

Both Troop 232 and Pack 232 welcome youth (and volunteer adults) from all backgrounds and faiths.

If you are interested in joining Boy Scout Troop 232 (Scout and/or volunteer adults), please contact our Membership Officer, Kevin Nuffer, at membership@troop232atl.comor our Troop Committee Chairman, Jim Caldwell, at committeechair@troop232atl.com. They will be happy to set up an appointment at one of our Troop meetings.

Troop 232 meets every Monday night in our Scout Hut at 7:30 pm at Northwest Presbyterian Church, 4300 Northside Drive, Atlanta, GA 30327. Please visit us for a tour and to experience one of our meetings.

Posted on Aug 15 2024 - 12:01pm

Nantahala Rafting Campout 8/24‒8/25/2024 -- Sign-up Forms Due at either Monday, 8/12 or 8/19 Troop Meeting

Our first campout this school year, Nantahala River Rafting, is scheduled for 8/24-8/25. Parents are strongly encouraged to join us (and this trip is a blast!) as we will need additional drivers & supervision on the river. If parents don’t want to float, we still need you as drivers. This event is our most popular of the year & participation requires extra adults beyond registered Scoutmasters. We greatly appreciate your consideration & participation. River Outfitter (Nantahala Outdoors Center/NOC) Liability Waivers are required for this trip for Scouts (signed by BOTH the Scout & a parent) & for rafting adults. The form may be found below. Please bring to the regular troop meeting, either 8/12 or 8/19. Details to follow on costs for signup.

Next weekend, on February 10 and 11, the Troop will be camping at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Northwest Georgia. Signups will be on Monday, February 5 at the regular Troop meeting. I am attaching an information flier with some basic information about the trip, our schedule, and a packing list. I will have some copies of the flier with me at the meeting as well, As always, please make sure all Scouts planning to attend follow the Scout Motto to BE PREPARED! While the weather forecast is currently looking nice, it is still 8 days away and highly unpredictable. Cloudland Canyon has frequently brought in cold and wet weather in the past, so please pay special attention to that possibility even if the forecast holds.
